Brazil Branch Wins Bid for Ventilation and Air-Conditioning System for Northeast Brazil UHV Project

Recently, the Brazilian branch of Guangdong Hengyuan Engineering Co., Ltd. successfully won the bid for the ventilation and air-conditioning system of the ±800 kV ultra-high-voltage DC transmission project for new-energy power export in northeastern Brazil.
This project marks State Grid Corporation of China’s third ultra-high-voltage direct-current transmission project overseas, following the first and second phases of the Belo Monte UHV DC project in Brazil. It is also the largest power-transmission concession project in Brazilian history. The project is scheduled for completion and commissioning in 2029, after which it will be able to meet the electricity needs of approximately 12 million people and provide strong support for Brazil’s transition to a clean, low-carbon energy system.
Following this successful bid, Hengyuan’s Brazil branch will provide end-to-end integrated services for the project’s two core converter stations, including detailed design of the ventilation and air-conditioning systems, supply of a complete set of equipment, on-site installation and commissioning, and operation and maintenance during the warranty period—all tailored to meet the unique operating conditions of Brazil’s tropical climate and the stringent performance requirements of ultra-high-voltage equipment.
This successful bid will have a positive impact on Hengyuan Company in the field of UHV ancillary projects.
